Lying along the western shore of the Taunton River is Dighton, a small city with a population of 7,086. The city was incorporated in 1712 and covers 22.6 square miles.
Dighton is only 10.37 miles away from Tuxedo by Sarno store in nearby Fall River and takes about 12 minutes to drive there.
The town is named for Frances Dighton Williams who was the wife of town elder Richard Williams.
