As a former proud employee of Sarno and Son from back in the ’70s, I was thrilled to find a local store in the DC area. The Alexandria location was easy to find and in a great location. The store owner/manager, Abbi, was fantastic, representing the friendliness, professionalism and values I remember from my Sarno days. I was presented with my options, then sized in no time, but with plenty of good advice and cordial conversation mixed in. Hard to believe I went from pressing coats in the old Sarno dry cleaning plant when I was 15 to now renting white tie and tails for the Washington Gridiron Dinner, but that’s a long story. Larry Sarno gave me my first job. I learned a lot and saved up money for gas and college. I’m now a 3-star general, but I give Abbi and Sarno’s 5 stars! Why would anyone go anywhere else?
